Research Interest
Our laboratory studies the epigenetic regulation of cellular identity decisions in physiological and pathological contexts such as cancer. Using a combination of CRISPR screening, chromatin biochemistry, epigenomics, and mouse cancer models, we investigate how normal tissue differentiation programs are disabled in cancers such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and colorectal cancer (CRC) and aim to uncover ways to re-activate these programs as a form of “differentiation therapy” to halt cancer cell growth with low toxicity.
