The Epigenetic Institute congratulates Golnaz Vahedi, PhD, and Roberto Bonasio, PhD, who were each promoted to Professor effective July 1, 2025.

Roberto is a Professor of Cell and Developmental Biology whose lab studies the molecular mechanisms of epigenetic memory, which are key to a number of biological processes, including embryonic development, cancer, stem cell pluripotency, and brain function.

Golnaz is a Professor of Genetics whose lab seeks to understand the molecular mechanisms through which genomic information in immune cells is interpreted in normal development and further dissect how common genetic variation can lead to misinterpretation of the genetic material in immune mediated diseases.
