Meetings of Interest

International Symposium on Epigenetic Inheritance

Dates: July 15 – 17, 2026
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Registration Deadline: May 1, 2026
More information: https://www.lsu.edu/vetmed/events/epigenetic_inheritance_symposium.php

This inaugural symposium, supported by the LSU Provost’s Fund, establishes a North American sister meeting to the biennial series founded in 2017 by Isabelle Mansuy at ETH Zurich. Held in alternating years, the Baton Rouge meeting is designed to complement the Zurich symposium and strengthen continuity across the international epigenetic inheritance community.

The Baton Rouge symposium builds directly on this foundation, with the objective of increasing the frequency and accessibility of scientific exchange in North America while maintaining strong transatlantic integration. Beyond presenting new data, the meeting aims to refine theoretical frameworks, consolidate core mechanistic concepts, and accelerate maturation of the field.

The program will integrate molecular, cellular, behavioral, and evolutionary perspectives on how environmental exposures and life experiences shape phenotypes across generations.

This structure positions the LSU symposium as a sustained institutional platform for advancing rigor, conceptual clarity, and global collaboration in transgenerational biology.

Inaugural Gordon Research Conference on Neural Genetics and Epigenetics

Dates: July 19 – 24, 2026
Location: New London, New Hampshire
Registration Deadline: June 21, 2026
More information: https://www.grc.org/neural-genetics-and-epigenetics-conference/2026/

The Neural Genetics and Epigenetics GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes an array of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.

This inaugural GRC will convene leading scientists to explore the molecular underpinnings of epigenetic regulation in the nervous system. With rapid advances in single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics/epigenomics, genome editing, and high-resolution imaging, we are now poised to dissect the precise molecular players, DNA and histone modifiers, chromatin remodelers, noncoding RNAs, and associated signaling pathways that orchestrate neural development, plasticity, and disease. Understanding how these components interact across diverse model systems is essential for bridging fundamental mechanisms with translational potential, particularly in the context of neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders. By highlighting these molecular drivers, this meeting will catalyze new insights, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and inspire the next generation of researchers to tackle the most pressing challenges in neuroepigenetics.

The EMBL ‘Transcription and chromatin’ conference has a long-standing tradition in shaping the field of transcriptional regulation – the 2026 meeting marks its 17th edition! The conference brings together leading experts covering all aspects of transcription including cis-regulatory function, long range regulation, 3-dimensional looping, the basal transcriptional machinery, RNA polymerase regulation and function, nucleosome positioning, chromatin modifications, chromatin remodelling, and epigenetic inheritance of transcriptional silencing. It contains many talks selected from the abstracts that are interspersed with invited speakers, discussing the latest breakthroughs in transcriptional regulation.

The conference is designed to promote interactive discussions at both the talks and poster sessions. Given the excellent line-up of speakers and the meeting’s outstanding reputation, this is a must-attend for anyone interested in cutting-edge research in transcription.

5th Epigenetics: From Mechanisms to Therapies Conference

Our ability to read, interpret and manipulate the genome has entered an era defined by single-cell resolution, 3D chromatin organization, and the integration of cell-intrinsic gene regulation, metabolic inputs and environmental challenges with human disease biology. Epigenetic mechanisms – considered as the “regulators of the regulators” – sit at the centre of efforts to understand development, aging and the molecular origins of disease. At the same time, the boundaries between chromatin biology, nuclear metabolism, transcriptional regulation, stem cell and cancer biology have largely dissolved. Modern research demands a fully integrated perspective.

The 5th Epigenetics: From Mechanisms to Therapies meeting will bring together leading scientists driving this transformation. This edition will highlight how chromatin organisation, nuclear architecture, gene regulatory networks, metabolism and RNA-based mechanisms converge to shape cell identity and plasticity across development, homeostasis and disease. A major focus will be placed on single-cell and spatial genomics, cutting-edge epigenomic technologies and new cellular models, as well as on epigenetic mechanisms modulating cancer, neurodevelopmental and neurological diseases.

Target Audience
This conference is ideal for researchers – PhD students, postdocs, group leaders and clinician scientists – working in gene regulation, chromatin architecture, nuclear biology, epigenetics, stem cell and developmental biology, cancer research and single-cell technologies. Colleagues from biotech and pharma, particularly those focused on epigenetic therapies, precision oncology, regenerative medicine, computational biology, genome engineering, and emerging diagnostics, will find a rich environment for scientific exchange and strategic insight.
